KARLEENA TUGGLE

Dr. Karleena Tuggle is Board-Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. She received her medical degree and completed her General Surgery Residency and Internship from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Tuggle completed her Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery under Morehouse School of Medicine. She is the Medical Director of The Center for Bariatrics and Healthy Weight at Southern Regional Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Tuggle is an active Officer in the US Army Reserve and is a veteran of military war missions in Afghanistan and Kuwait.

Dr. Tuggle strives to develop long-term partnering relationships built on trust and mutual respect.  Her bariatric program’s goal is to give patients the tools they need to be their healthiest and happiest selves. She prides herself on providing top quality patient care, compassion, and a commitment to excellence – all of which is accomplished with close collaboration between our staff, our patients, and their families.

Her practice is at 11 Upper Riverdale Road, SW, Surgical Suites, located in Southern Regional’s Women’s Center on the Ground Floor in Riverdale.
